Georgetown University will open a two-bedroom and one-bathrooms hotel for $150,000, and will host an open house at the facility on Wednesday.
The facility will be located in Georgetown’s West End, located near the University of Washington, and was designed by architect John P. Kuehnle.
The building is expected to open in 2018.
The Georgetown University Foundation, which manages the building, will also host an event to launch the hotel, which is expected at the Marriott Marquis Washington, D.C. Hotel.
The hotel will be part of the Georgetown University Center for Urban Innovation, a $30 million development on the grounds of Georgetown University that will be home to a number of new, innovative buildings.
“The Georgetown University Hotel is an extraordinary, modern, high-quality hotel that reflects the University’s commitment to sustainability,” said Dr. David K. Greenstein, president and CEO of Georgetown, in a press release.
“It is also an important symbol of Georgetown’s commitment and leadership in the 21st century.”
