We’ve seen it all before.
A city that is once again booming.
But when the new digs are revealed, you can expect to feel a bit queasy.
The new buildings are called dormitories.
And they’re being built in neighborhoods like the one I’m about to write about.
These dorms have become a major source of pride for people like me.
We’re part of a new wave of Americans who, in some sense, live in a new city, a city that we now call home.
We call ourselves millennials, but that doesn’t mean we’re the only ones.
I grew up in San Francisco, a large city that has been growing at an exponential rate in recent years.
We’ve had a lot of great developments here.
I grew up there, and now I live in San Jose, California.
And we’ve seen a lot change.
We are living in the future.
I’m sure there’s some people who grew up here in the 1950s who are now looking forward to the new condos, the new apartments, the fancy restaurants.
And that’s great.
That’s why we love the new buildings.
But we are living a different time.
And for the past few years, the city has been struggling with an unemployment rate that’s almost four times higher than it was a decade ago.
That unemployment rate is an indication of what’s happening in the country.
But what we have also seen is a city in the midst of a massive population increase.
San Francisco is now home to about 15 million people.
So many people, in fact, that it’s hard to keep track.
The city has a population of about 27 million people, according to Census Bureau data.
If you were to compare the city to a city with a population density of 1,000 people per square mile, it would be almost impossible to keep up.
San Jose has more than twice as many people per capita.
For the past year, I’ve been writing about San Francisco’s future.
You see, the world’s biggest city is starting to see an economic boom.
That boom is now starting to take hold in places like San Jose.
But the housing stock has also been on the rise.
Over the past couple of decades, San Jose’s housing stock is up about 60 percent.
To put that into perspective, that’s a 20-fold increase.
But it’s only one part of the story.
There are more than a quarter of a million apartments that are either under construction or have just started construction in the city.
And those are just apartments.
There’s also a lot more vacant housing.
A lot of the housing is for families.
It’s usually built in an area where there are a lot less families, but still, there are lots of them.
This is not necessarily the case in cities like New York, Chicago, or Los Angeles.
When I first started writing about the city, I thought it was just going to be a boom.
But that boom is starting now.
And it’s going to have a very serious impact on the city as a whole.
This is a story about how a city is transforming itself.
It might be a story you’re already familiar with.
It could be one you haven’t heard.
But this is a unique story about San Jose that we’re writing about because it’s a city whose future is on the line.
Now, let’s take a look at what we can learn from San Jose as we look at its future.
A new boom is under way In 1950, San Francisco was home to a population that was about 1,300 people.
It was a city known for its high-rises and its great public transit.
Today, the population is roughly the same, with a little more than 500,000.
But just like San Francisco had a high population in 1950, so did San Jose in the early part of this century.
The numbers are similar today.
According to the city data, San José has a median household income of $85,000, according a 2016 study by the American Planning Association.
That means the average household income in San José is about $40,000 per year.
At the same time, there is also a significant decrease in the number of people who are homeless.
According to the Department of Homeless Services, San Diego has about 9,700 homeless people.
That translates to roughly 2.7 people per 100,000 San Diego residents.
But San Jose is much, much more affordable.
That is, it’s not a city where you have to work at minimum wage or get a food stamp to survive.
It is a place where you can live with your family, make money, and save.
That includes the cost of college and the cost to live in the new city.
