The Rival Schools competition will see the top three teams compete for the title.
Rugby league teams will be able to compete for three spots in the World Cup after qualifying for the competition through the 2019 Rugby League World Cup Qualifying Tournament.
They will then be awarded a spot in the 2018 Rugby League Championship, a chance to face their rivals in the semi-finals, and will then play each other in the final.
The 2018 World Cup Final is a two-leg tie-break with the first leg being played in Auckland.
The winner of that tie-breaker match will be the one to take home the World Rugby Championship trophy.
The 2017 Rugby League Cup Finals will see a final between the teams.
